Sally and Sophie
Sally and Sophie

Sally and Sophie..............ADOPTED

We would like to thank Janet and Marie for opening their homes and hearts to our sweet seniors.

Special thanks to their loving foster mom Karen   These 15 year young girls were in urgent need of a rescue back in January. Thankfully, Karen applied to foster with PADR when she saw our plea for help. You may remember Karen from our segment on Pet Parade. She did a phenomenal job and was told she should come back every week to do  the segment  As luck would have it, Janet and Marie were watching, fell in love and applied to adopt them. Shortly thereafter, Sophie started having seizures, and we had to postpone the adoption until she was cleared from our vet to go to her forever home. The girls are now settled in and doing very well.

It takes a village! The Taunton Animal Shelter shared our post for help, a volunteer from the shelter tagged Karen, Karen applied to foster, Janet and Marie watched Pet Parade and here we are today with this happy news.

Dougie

Sweet Dougie found his forever home shortly after coming to our rescue.  He is now enjoying his new life with a stay at home mom and dad, a fenced in yard and the run of the house.  He found what he was looking for and more, and his new humans could not be happier.  Well...maybe his new mom would prefer that he stop catching garden snakes for her ;)

Bear

Bear was surrendered to PADR due to the death of his owner.   He has found a new forever home and this is truly a "who rescued who" adoption. His new mom just gave up looking for a Lhasa when she came across Bear's bio, she said she couldn't believe it and knew she needed Bear in her life.  Bear went to his home visit and quickly made himself at home, it was obvious he felt right at home and that it was a perfect fit!  Bear needed his new mom in his life as much as she needed him in her life.

Baby

Baby was surrendered to us when her mom was no longer able to care for her.  She quickly found her forever home and now enjoys her summers on Cape Cod and her winters in Vermont!

Tyson
Tyson

Tyson was rescued by a very nice lady that saw him laying lifeless in a crate at a backyard breeder.  Although she could not keep him,  she rescued him for a $50.00 fee.  Luckily, she contacted us and we were able to take him in and have him vetted.  He was hairless with severe mange and very thin.  With meds and a proper diet, Tyson bounced back and was ultimately adopted and is thriving!
